Best brokerage for small systematic trading - With API

Besides Interactive Broker, which company is the best for systematic trading through API? I know e-Trade has API, but seems nobody is supporting that. TDAmeritrade is coming up with some API offer in the future, but its documentation is not public. TradeKing has API too, seems easy to use. Can anyone comment on this and recommend other companies which offer API and high leverage?

tradeMONSTER (soon to merge with OptionsHouse) offers an extensive XML API that can be accessed from any language. Authentication is fully automated via the internet. The API supports trading in equities, equity options/spreads, futures and futures options. There is no cost to use the API. Commission rates are posted at: https://www.trademonster.com/pricing/compare-our-pricing.jsp. Leverage will be similar to e*trade and TD.

Rosenthal Collins Group (RCG) - Great company, great commissions and a rock solid and free API.

Jim Chen, I believe OptionsHouse has an API they will make available. I have not used it. Your comment on TDA commissions not being good...what were you quoted? PM me if you wish.

Well the standard communications protocol is FIX (API) and if you develop execution tools with it you can plug it to anybody afterwards. I guess IB supports FIX too.

Following on Dan's and Val's comments -- Optionshouse has an API that is available. you need to register with them though first to get the documentation on how to structure your messages. Their API is pretty standard json / https post/get messaging so you can program in whatever language you want and then build your messages in whatever language you want, as long as you can send them to their server and parse responses, you're good to go.

this may change with the merger....
