Among the subjects Gann covers in this book are limit days and gap days, reverse signal days, trend indications, and timing trend changes. This book teaches many of Gann's secrets about chart reading, money management, and time cycles. The rules Gann teaches in this book have been tested by him in his actual market operations. You have to consider the time this book was originally written - i think late 30s or early 40s. So, the bulk of this book is actual charts made by Gann himself - which is pretty cool, but useless.

There is pretty much nothing new, because this book influenced a lot of traders and authors therefore it isn't new, but at the time it was published, it was. Its a neat history of some trading rules and strategy - it has nothing about Square of 9 or any clue about some his more "controversial" methods.

He doesn't go into trading stories or a narrative like Reminisciences does.

If you are curious about Gann's work you can start with this book. His work is applicable to all markets not only commodities
